Julian Coriz of Santo Domingo (Kewa) Pueblo, NM has been

making pottery since he was ten years of age. While his 

symbols appear to be traditional, they are often modified 

into the artist’s unique designs.  Julian’s beautiful hand-built

vessels and plates are distinguished by masterful control

in his application of finely detailed motifs created 

from rock powder pigments.  

In 2010 Julian was awarded the Easter Fellowship 

from the Wheelwright Museum in Santa Fe, NM.
